Ewan Cooper BA(Hons) DipArch ARB
This site is a showcase of Architectural work undertaken since completing my part 2 at London Metropolitan University in 2010 – it includes academic work, drawings and delivered, built projects.
About me.
I completed my Part3 at Westminster University in 2014, having studied for my Diploma at London Metropolitan University (2008-2010).
From 1997-99 I studied Interior & Spatial Design at Chelsea School of Art after which I founded and ran a small domestic Interior Design practice. I have since built up 17 years of professional experience (working part time through my Part2) in projects at all scales and at every stage of the design and construction process.
I have worked internationally on large Hotel and Spa complexes and, in the UK, on large urban regeneration schemes which have included private sale, social and shared ownership housing, community and Extra Care facilities.
I was a key member of the design team that successfully delivered Nationwide Building Society’s first housing project though planning as well as block 1 of the First Development Site for the regeneration of the Aylesbury Estate (Europe’s largest social housing project).
I have written on the domestic design process, design for elderly care and suburban development and have been published in books and articles over the last ten years.
I am a cyclist, gardener, bread maker, a no frills pub rock guitar player in the Essex delta blues tradition and a proud father to Florence.
